SKSU Honors LEPT Topnotchers in Recognition and Tribute Program

Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) conducted the Recognition and Tribute Program for LEPT Topnotchers at the University Audio Visual Room, ACCESS Campus, EJC Montilla, Tacurong City, on May 25, 2026, in honor of its outstanding graduates who excelled in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).

The program served as a celebration of academic excellence and dedication as the university recognized its nine topnotchers who brought pride and distinction to the institution through their exceptional performance in the national board examination.

Welcome remarks were delivered by Anesa P. Mangindra, Dean of the College of Teacher Education, who expressed gratitude and pride for the achievements of the university’s graduates. The presentation of topnotchers was led by Michael Kennedy G. Camarao, Director for Instruction, followed by the awarding of certificates and tokens facilitated by the Alumni Relations Office. The awardees also received cash incentives in recognition of their outstanding achievement.

Among the topnotchers recognized during the ceremony were Prince John Soriano Layno, who secured Top 3 with a rating of 94.60% under the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science, and Rusty Mark Langgong Cinco, who also earned Top 3 with a rating of 94.40% under the Bachelor of Elementary Education program.

Also honored were Roy Dagum Villavecencio and Marian Angela Arellano Fresnido, both placing Top 5 in the examination with ratings of 94.20% and 93.80%, respectively.

Meanwhile, Arvin Suriaga Cortez secured Top 8 with a rating of 93.20%, while Dimple Gatchalian Definado earned Top 9 with a rating of 93.40%.

Completing the roster of top-performing graduates were Bea Claire Santuele Saligbon, Mirasol Ganda Maloc, and Rholly Jane Arellano, who all secured Top 10 rankings in the national licensure examination.

An inspirational message was delivered by Marites B. Java, EdD, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who commended the topnotchers for their perseverance, hard work, and commitment to excellence. A testimonial speech was also shared by Top 3 honoree Prince John Soriano Layno, who reflected on the journey, sacrifices, and determination behind their success.

In his congratulatory message, University President Dr. Samson L. Molao extended his heartfelt congratulations to the awardees and emphasized that their achievement reflects the quality of education and the university’s unwavering commitment to producing competent and globally competitive educators.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Jayson A. Falle, Director of OSAS, followed by a photo opportunity with university officials, faculty members, students, parents, and guests.

Through this recognition and tribute program, Sultan Kudarat State University continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence and transformative education, aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.
