October 28, 2026 – Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) is conducting a training on Republic Act No. 12009, otherwise known as the New Government Procurement Act (NGPA), and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) at the SKSU ACCESS Campus in Tacurong City.
Serving as the resource speaker for Day 1 is DBM Region XII Director Akmad J. Usman, CPA, CESO III, who leads the discussions on the provisions of RA No. 12009 and its IRR, providing participants with insights into the updated policies, procedures, and requirements governing government procurement.
The three-day training aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of the new procurement framework and enhance their knowledge of the rules and processes necessary to promote transparency, accountability, efficiency, and compliance in public procurement.
Through this initiative, SKSU continues to support capacity-building efforts that equip its personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to uphold sound financial management, institutional accountability, and responsible public service.
The training will continue until October 30, 2026, with further discussions designed to deepen participants’ understanding and application of the New Government Procurement Act and its implementing rules.
