The 2025 Region XII and BARMM State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) Mid-Year Performance Dialogue with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region XII and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region XII was successfully held on August 28, 2025 at SKSU.
The meeting proper highlighted the Presentation of FY 2025 First Semester Agency Performance Review (APR) Results, Findings, and Recommendations. Participating SUCs included the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST), University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Cotabato State University (CSU), Adiong Memorial State College (AMSC), Southern Cotabato State College (SCSC), and Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU). Each institution shared its updates, accomplishments, and recommendations to further improve performance and budget utilization.
In the afternoon, CHED XII presented updates, followed by a plenary session where DBM XII, CHED XII, and SUC representatives engaged in constructive discussions to address issues and strengthen collaboration across the higher education sector.
The performance dialogue also reflects the commitment of SUCs, DBM, and CHED to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Most notably, it advances SDG 4: Quality Education by ensuring that higher education institutions deliver inclusive, accessible, and high-quality services through effective resource utilization and strengthened accountability. The dialogue also supports SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, as it promotes transparency, good governance, and responsible stewardship of public funds in the education sector. Finally, the event highlights SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as it brings together SUCs, DBM, and CHED in a shared effort to build stronger collaborations that contribute to national priorities and global development targets.
