Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) joined the Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat in celebrating the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary on September 1, 2025, at the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Gymnasium.

With the theme “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan,” the event highlighted the invaluable role of civil servants in nation-building and public service. The program opened with an audiovisual presentation and performances from the SKSU Choir, who also led the singing of the national anthem and the Civil Service Hymn, adding a vibrant academic and cultural touch to the ceremony.

Hon. Datu Pax Ali S. Mangudadatu, Governor of Sultan Kudarat, served as the keynote speaker, delivering an inspirational message that underscored the dedication, integrity, and excellence of public servants in uplifting communities and sustaining progress.

The celebration also coincided with the 31st National Crime Prevention Week Kick-Off Ceremony, spearheaded by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Region 12 with the theme “Pinalakas na Pamahalaang Lokal para sa Ligtas na Pamayanan: Pagpapatibay ng mga Programa sa Pag-iwas sa Krimen sa ilalim ng CSOP.” A symbolic signing of commitment and the ceremonial blowing of the whistle were conducted, joined by government leaders and stakeholders, including SKSU President Dr. Samson L. Molao, EdD, affirming their united stand in promoting peace, order, and community safety.

A highlight of the program was the “Sultan Kudaranons: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan, Ngayon at sa Hinaharap” Variety Show Contest, where SKSU faculty and staff also actively participated, showcasing their talents and creativity alongside other provincial government employees.

Through its participation, SKSU reaffirmed its solidarity with fellow government institutions in advancing efficient, transparent, and people-centered governance, living up to its commitment as a partner in public service and development. This initiative also aligns with the university’s support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, which emphasizes accountable and inclusive governance as a foundation for sustainable progress.
