SKSU Laboratory High School Clinches 1st Runner-Up at Kidlat Talas Gold 2025

In celebration of the Sultan Kudarat Electric Cooperative’s (SUKELCO) 50th Golden Anniversary, the Kidlat Talas Gold 2025 Grand Finals highlighted academic excellence and collaboration under the theme “Celebrating Triumphs in Honoring the Past, Empowering the Present, and Embracing the Future.”

The Sultan Kudarat State University – Laboratory High School proudly achieved the 1st Runner-Up title in the inter-high school quiz bowl competition. The team, composed of Gielan Alleanna N. Pasquin, Stephen Euan C. Talua, Samantha Rhian O. Celino, and Khaydee Alexa A. Fuentes, displayed remarkable intellect, teamwork, and composure under the mentorship of their dedicated coaches April Mae A. Marcella and Rey S. Fuentebilla.

Their outstanding performance earned them a trophy, certificates, a Smart TV, and a ₱15,000 cash prize, symbolizing the culmination of their hard work and the university’s unwavering support for quality education and holistic student development. This success was made possible through the full support and encouragement of SKSU University President Samson L. Molao, EdD, whose leadership continues to inspire the SKSU community toward academic excellence and innovation.

This achievement also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by fostering inclusive and equitable learning opportunities that empower students to reach their full potential, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through SUKELCO’s collaboration with SKSU in promoting educational initiatives that strengthen community engagement and development.
