This year’s 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW) is strongly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals particularly, SDG 4 (Quality Education), recognizing that empowering individuals with knowledge is essential in preventing violence and promoting equality. SDG 5 (Gender Equality), which calls for the elimination of all forms of violence against women and girls, both in public and private spheres, and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), as it advocates for safe, inclusive environments grounded in justice and human rights.

As the university officially begin this year’s campaign, it calls on all students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders to actively participate in the planned activities, discussions, and advocacy efforts. Ending violence against women is not merely a legal mandate, it is a moral responsibility as it requires our empathy, awareness, and unwavering commitment. Each story heard, each voice uplifted, and each step taken toward positive change brings us closer to a society where women can live free from fear, oppression, and harm.
