December 12, 2025 – Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU), in partnership with the Office of Secretary Sonny Angara and Senator Pia Cayetano, and with the support of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), officially opened the 6th Alagang Angara Barkada League Sportsfest 2025, a vibrant celebration of youth empowerment, camaraderie, and sports excellence.

The opening ceremony gathered students, faculty, and staff at the University Gymnasium, marking the beginning of a highly anticipated week of friendly competition among various participating teams. This year’s Sportsfest marks another milestone in the university’s ongoing commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals through holistic development.

Representing Secretary Sonny Angara during the event was Mr. Jasper Nunez, whose presence underscored the continued commitment of the Office of the Secretary to empowering young Filipinos through accessible and sustainable sports initiatives.

Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU), led by University President Dr. Samson L. Molao, expressed profound gratitude to Secretary Sonny Angara, Senator Pia Cayetano, and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) for their steadfast support of youth and sports development programs. Dr. Molao emphasized that the Alagang Angara Barkada League Sportsfest serves not only as a platform to showcase athletic prowess but also as a meaningful avenue to instill values such as discipline, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and resilience among the youth.
