The ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Landbank Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. and Sultan Kudarat State University was successfully held at the Land Bank of the Philippines Main Office in Malate City on February 4, 2026. The agreement was formally signed by SKSU President Samson L. Molao, EdD and LCDFI Executive Director Roy C. Oscillada, symbolizing a shared commitment to expand educational opportunities for the children of vulnerable and marginalized families in the Province of Sultan Kudarat.

Beneficiaries of the program were identified through the Agriculture Departments of the municipal governments across the province to ensure that support reaches deserving families within the agricultural sector.

Through this partnership, educational assistance and capacity-building support will be extended to qualified sons and daughters of farmers, farm laborers, and other agricultural workers. The program seeks to remove financial and structural barriers to higher education while equipping scholars with the competencies required for professional and productive careers. Beyond academic support, the initiative provides a clear pathway for employability, aligning education with workforce readiness and long-term livelihood security for agricultural households.

Notably, the agreement further provides that graduates of the program may be considered for employment opportunities with the Land Bank of the Philippines upon completion of their studies and may serve as future ambassadors of the institution. As ambassadors, these scholars are envisioned to promote the values of integrity, service, and inclusive development within their communities while representing the transformative impact of the partnership. This component underscores that the MOA is not only an educational intervention but also a strategic investment in human capital—empowering the sons and daughters of agricultural workers to become professionals, role models, and active partners in the sustainable development of Sultan Kudarat.

In his message, Pres. Molao said:

“Together with LBP, we believe that when education is nurtured, communities are strengthened and the nation moves forward. This partnership is our collective pledge to shape a brighter, more hopeful future—one scholar at a time.”
