CCJE Holds 9th Internship Graduation and Ring Hop Ceremony

May 30, 2025 – The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of Sultan Kudarat State University held its 9th Internship Graduation and Ring Hop Ceremony with the theme, “Integrity, Competence, and Commitment: The Mark of a Criminal Justice Professional.” The event honored the accomplishments of graduating students from the Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management programs who successfully completed their 540-hour internship requirements.

The ceremony opened with a warm welcome message from the Dean of CCJE, Dr. Rogelio C. Palanog, Jr., who praised the graduates for their perseverance and encouraged them to live by the values of the College. This was followed by an inspiring message from the University President, Dr. Samson L. Molao, delivered through his representative, Atty. Nolan Albano. Dr. Molao’s message highlighted the importance of integrity and professionalism as essential qualities in the criminal justice profession.

Several heads and representatives from the College’s partner agencies graced the occasion, strengthening the university’s strong ties with law enforcement and security sectors. Among those present were PLtCol Felix L. Fornan, representing Col. Bernard L. Lao of the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Police Office; PMSg Eleonor M. Castromayor, representing PCol Alvin M. Martin of the Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Unit; Dr. Ronith L. Molato, JD, of the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Jail; PLt Ferdinand C. Dela Cruz of the SK Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit 12; JO1 Zephaniah Vernand P. Calixton, representing JSupt Brian M. Sison of the Isulan District Jail; PCpt Lilineth Q. Bagaforo, representing PLtCol Julius R. Malcontento of the Isulan Municipal Police Station; FSInsp Richard M. Madayag, represented by FO3 Jun Sandre V. Maratas of the Isulan Central Fire Station; SFO3 Esmael G. Kamid of the Quirino Municipal Fire Station; Sir Leoncio B. Dulin, representing Ma’am Evelyn S. De Jesus of the Coseda Security Agency; and Elpidio A. Tan of the Priority Security Agency.

The event served not only to recognize the graduates’ completion of their internships and academic requirements but also to instill a stronger sense of professional identity and ethical responsibility. It underscored the College’s commitment to producing competent graduates ready to serve in the field of law enforcement and industrial security. It also offered a platform to showcase the effectiveness of CCJE’s curriculum and internship program in preparing students for real-world challenges.

The second part of the ceremony featured the traditional Ring Hop, a symbolic event celebrating the interns’ hard work and the unwavering support of their families. Former CCJE Dean, Sir Edwin F. Cortejo, MSCrim, delivered an inspirational message that reflected on the students’ growth and transformation throughout their academic journey. Each intern received a certificate of completion, and several outstanding interns were awarded for their exemplary performance.

As a gesture of gratitude, interns presented tokens to their parents and guardians. CIU Commander Nino B. Narciso gave a heartfelt tribute to the parents, acknowledging their sacrifices and unconditional support. This was followed by an emotional response from Mrs. Jocelyn N. Wee, who spoke on behalf of the parents, expressing pride and appreciation for the achievements of the graduating class.

The ceremony concluded with the singing of the batch song “Puso” by Interns Batch 2025, a powerful moment that captured the unity and spirit of the graduating class. Dr. Marlon D. Bangonon, BSCrim Program Chairperson and OJT Coordinator, gave the closing remarks, commending the graduates for their determination and urging them to carry forward the ideals of integrity, competence, and commitment as they begin their professional journey.

The 9th Internship Graduation and Ring Hop Ceremony served not only as a tribute to the interns’ accomplishments but also as a strong reflection of the College’s continued commitment to shaping ethical, competent, and service-driven professionals in the field of criminal justice.
