Dr. Anesa P. Mangindra, a researcher from Sultan Kudarat State University-ACCESS Campus, has been awarded as Best Paper Presenter in the Cultural Studies category at the 7th Luminary International Conference held at the University of Economics and Finance in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from February 20-22, 2025. The conference, centered around the theme of “Research and Education for Sustainable Development,” drew researchers, educators, and academicians from around world. The conference itself is aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations, addressing global challenges through collaborative and cross-disciplinary approaches. Topics of interest included finance, economics, management, business, sustainable development goals, education, and environmental awareness.

Dr. Mangindra’s research presentation focused on exploring the culture and history of the Bangsamoro-Maguindanaon through pusaka (antiques) which leads to the conservation, protection and preservation of cultural artifacts. The 7th Luminary International Conference encouraged the integration of sustainability principles into research and education, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving related to real-world issues. The event facilitated the sharing of best practices for equipping global communities with the knowledge and skills needed for a sustainable future.
