In a heartwarming celebration of dedication, resilience, and service, the SKSU–CHS proudly held its 14th Clinical Graduation, Pinning, and Ring Hop Ceremony for the Solana Class of 2025 on June 10, 2025, at the Sultan Kudarat Convention Center. With the theme “Solana Rising: Empowered Nurses Lighting the Way in Modern Healthcare,” the event honored future nurses who have completed their clinical training and are now prepared to contribute meaningfully to the healthcare system.
The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Dr. Ellen Gay S. Intong, as the keynote speaker, whose address highlighted the critical importance of combining compassion and evidence-based care in today’s healthcare environment. Also present were Dr. Marites B. Java, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Michael Kennedy G. Camarao, Director for Instruction; Dr. Mark Ryan Contaoi, Dean of the College of Health Sciences; Ms. Neisshi Anne Gimeno, Top 9 of the Nurses Licensure Examination; and the dedicated faculty and staff who played a pivotal role in shaping the academic journey of the graduates. Parents and families gathered in full support, creating a moving atmosphere of pride and accomplishment.
The pinning and ring hop ceremony, a symbolic rite of passage that marks the transition from students to full-fledged nursing professionals, emphasized the importance of holistic care, patient advocacy, and leadership in nursing practice—values exemplified by the Solana Class of 2025. These future healthcare professionals are now equipped to face modern health challenges, including those arising from technological advancements, global pandemics, and evolving patient needs.
Through this ceremony, SKSU–CHS continues to support several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by preparing competent health workers committed to quality care; SDG 4: Quality Education, through accessible and transformative health science education; and SDG 5: Gender Equality, as the nursing field continues to empower individuals regardless of gender to lead and innovate in healthcare. The event not only celebrated academic and clinical achievements but also underscored the university’s ongoing commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and forward-thinking health education.
