The Pre-Conference Program for the International Conference on Nature Studies and Innovation for the Environment (ICoNSIE) 2024 was successfully held on July 16, 2024 at the Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) Administration Building’s Multipurpose Hall.
The event began at 1:00 PM with the national anthem and an opening prayer, followed by welcome remarks that set a positive tone for the program.
Dr. Zenaida Baoanan, PSSN Corporate Secretary, was introduced by Dr. Siony S. Brunio, Director of the Extension Division. Dr. Ruby S. Hechanova presented on “Potentials of Halal-Compliant Technologies in the Industry,” highlighting the significant impact of halal technologies on the industry.
Dr. Mary Lynn G. Magbanua, Vice President for RD&E, introduced Donnel Jun Tiedra, who discussed “Regenerative Agriculture for Sustainable and Resilient Coffee Industry.” Tiedra emphasized sustainable practices in agriculture and their importance for the coffee industry.
Both speakers were awarded plaques of appreciation for their valuable contributions. The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Rodelyn M. Dalayap, Director for Research Development, who summarized the day’s events and expressed gratitude to all participants and speakers.
The pre-conference was supported by various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), demonstrating a collaborative effort in promoting research and education in the region. The ICONSIE 2024 pre-conference program set the stage for the main conference, promising a series of insightful and impactful sessions.
