Mr. James G. Batoampo, a faculty member at the College of Criminal Justice Education of Sultan Kudarat State University and designated as Assistant Director for Sports, took part in a week-long advanced internship and international exposure program from October 29, 2025 to November 4, 2025 in Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Universiti Malaya, and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Malaysia.
With a focus on the value of sports in character development and the utilization of advanced technology, the event included lively panel discussions on improving educational quality and engaging students through creative methods. These talks were enhanced by workshops that offered practical experience with innovative teaching approaches, especially in physical education and sports. Prof. Batoampo had the opportunity to learn about integrating technology into hands on instruction and attending to student’s socio-emotional needs, which reinforced the need for student centered teaching strategies that honor a range of backgrounds. Innovative curriculum designs that stress community engagement through service learning and connect local culture with global perspectives were revealed when visiting the institutions. This experience has increased understanding of the linkages between sports and education while also providing a valuable arena for networking and collaboration. Prof. Batoampo extends its profound gratitude to University President Samson L. Molao, EdD, for his unwavering support, visionary leadership, and commitment to faculty development and internationalization.
This milestone underscores the university’s contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals specifically, SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) as it empowers educators with global knowledge and teaching innovations that advanced Physical Education methodologies and strengthening international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
