SKSU-Graduate School holds ANTLERS Research Conference 2023

The SKSU-GS conducts the Advanced Nation of Talented Leaders, Educators, Researchers, and Strategists (ANTLERS) Research Conference 2023 at the GS Function Hall, ACCESS Campus, EJC Montilla, Tacurong City on April 1, 2023. It aims to disseminate research findings, validate in the third level of the research findings before publication, expose the research presenter’s research skills, increase visibility, and promote academic discourse. The conference was spearheaded by the GS Dean, Dr. Mildred F. Accad, Dr. Adrian Protacio, Dr. Elvie Diaz, Dr. Siony Brunio, Dr. Rosita T. Rizaldo. Likewise, Prof. Susan Losañes, with the MAT-PE students, sponsored the event.

During the opening program, the welcome remarks and messages of Dr. Julie Albano (Vice-President for Research Development and Extension) and Dr. Jesusa Ortuoste (Vice-President for Academic Affairs) were delivered by Dr. Marissa Hitalia. Dr. Elvie Diaz (GS-Research Coordinator), represented by Dr. Mary Lynn Magbanua, provided the rationale for the conference. Dr. Adrian Protacio resented and recognized the conference’s participants. Dr. Samson Molao supported the conference through the VPs and evaluators. Hence, Dean Accad discussed the importance of research in advanced education.

Researchers from the Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, Local Government Units, Department of Agriculture, Higher Education Institutions, and private schools attended the conference. The presentations were divided into three parallel sessions: Session 1-Arts and Humanities, Session 2-Arts and Humanities B, and Session 3-Leadership System and Practices, Agriculture and Environment, Business, Entrepreneurship, and Industry. Dr. Elvie Diaz, Dr. Karen Joy Talidong, and Dr. Marissa Hitalia were assigned to evaluate the presentations in session 1. The 8 researchers were Tikas, Ibrahim I., Abo, Yasser M., Del Rosario, Princess, Romchel D., Trinidad, Aladin C., Gani, Maliga M., Rodriguez, Rizzie D., Macasayon, Entesar M., and Gorieza, Glenda C.

In session 2, Dr. Rodelyn Dalayap and Dr. Siony Brunio also served as evaluators. The presenters were Sintos, Afrail Mae S., Generoso, Arnold B., Bantilan, Bai Laga S., Mokalid, Babyjean S., De Guzman, Sheba M., Dela Tina, Junerie O., Pascasio, Ana Marie M., Matabalao, Samraida., Umbi, Baikong S., and Estareja, Merry Joy M. Similarly, Dr. Mary Lynn Magbanua and Dr. Mitos Delco assessed the presenters in session 3. The seven researchers were Rubin, Dennis B., Butacan, Evy M., Tomala, Amie D., Ortiz, Josephine E., and Alentajan, Diana Mae R.

The best papers and presenters at the doctorate and master levels shall be announced during the SKSU’s Commencement Exercises in June 2023. The same awards shall also be given in the ANTLERS Research Colloquium 2023, conducted online every Wednesday and Saturday until April 30, 2023.
