In an effort to reflect on the year’s accomplishments and strategize for the coming year, Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) conducted its 2024 Year-End Review and Planning Workshop. The event took place from December 16 to 18, 2024, at the Greenleaf Hotel in General Santos City.
The three-day workshop commenced with the introduction of key university officials and newly designated personnel from the administration and the institution’s seven campuses. Dr. Abraham S. Accad, Director of the Planning Division, set the tone by presenting the event’s rationale. He also provided updates on the university’s infrastructure developments, based on recent assessments and site visits.
SKSU President Dr. Samson L. Molao delivered an inspiring address highlighting the university’s priorities for 2025. He emphasized the importance of preparing for SUC Levelling, ISO certification, internationalization efforts, and advancing the university’s four-fold functions: instruction, research, extension, and production. Dr. Molao urged the university community to collaborate effectively and embrace creativity, flexibility, and consistency to achieve these goals. He also expressed gratitude to former OIC President Dr. Jesusa D. Ortuoste for her leadership and the significant accomplishments achieved during her tenure.
A key feature of the event was the presentation and discussion of the university’s five-year Strategic Development Plan, led by the Vice Presidents. The session addressed pressing issues and provided recommendations to enhance the plan’s implementation. Subsequent workshops focused on developing specific plans and targets, facilitated by various university divisions, campuses, and Major Final Outputs (MFOs).
The 2024 Year-End Review and Planning Workshop concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. It reinforced SKSU’s commitment to be a leading institution that fosters scholarly innovations, multicultural convergence, and responsive public service in a borderless region.
