Program Accreditation is crucial in all higher education institutions to meet established standards, leading to academic excellence and quality education, enhanced reputation, increased student employability, access to financial aid and funding, and a culture of continuous improvement. The highest level of program accreditation is Level IV. In SKSU, the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology was granted Level IV by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) during the previous accreditation survey visit.
The Online Level III Survey Visit was concluded with an Exit Conference and Closing program on August 29, 2025, where the AACCUP Overall Coordinator, Dr. Marivic T. Sanchez gave the overall impression of the activity. On behalf of Pres. Samson L. Molao, Dr. Michael Kennedy G. Camarao, Director for Instruction, expressed his words of commitment. The e-certificates were awarded to the AACCUP Survey Visit Team by Dr. Rodelyn M. Dalayap. The activity was formally closed by VP Reynaldo H. Dalayap.
This milestone also resonates with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, as accreditation ensures that programs meet high standards that prepare graduates for global competitiveness; SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by producing a skilled workforce that contributes to sustainable economic progress; and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, as accreditation strengthens institutional accountability, governance, and transparency. Through these efforts, SKSU reinforces its commitment to academic excellence and its role in advancing both national and global development goals.
It was indeed a productive and meaningful activity!
