The Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU), through its Resource Generation Division headed by its director, Dr. Adonis Besa, conducted its Mid-Year Income Generating Projects (IGP) Review from July 23 to 25, 2024, at Villa Lalaine Resort in Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat. The event brought together university administrators, financial experts, and external stakeholders to assess and enhance the university’s various income-generating initiatives.
The midyear review draw attendance from the project managers of all the income generating projects of the University, the consultants, and key personnel.
The first day of the review saw the presentation of status reports for all existing IGPs to an internal panel. The panel was composed of Ms. Arriane Joy Purazo-Duque, CPA, the Resident Commission on Audit (COA) Auditor, Ms. Shaira Karissa Cipriano, CPA, the Chief Administrative Officer for Finance, and Mr. Jesher Y. Palomaria, CPA, the Supervising Administrative Officer. Each project was meticulously reviewed, and the panel provided valuable feedback and suggestions to improve operations and optimize revenue generation.
On the second day, the focus shifted to proposed new IGPs. These projects were presented to an external panel led by Mr. Ervin Rey Belonio, CPA, from Landbank of the Philippines Koronadal branch. The external panel evaluated the potential of these new initiatives, discussing their feasibility and potential impact on the university’s financial sustainability.
The proposed projects will undergo further review before funding can be granted to ensure their viability and alignment with the university’s strategic goals.
The three-day event concluded with a sense of accomplishment and renewed commitment to enhancing the university’s income-generating efforts. The insights and recommendations from both internal and external panels are expected to play a crucial role in driving the success of SKSU’s IGPs in the coming months.
