
March 3, 2025 – Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) officially opened its 2025 National Women’s Month celebration in front of the Administration Building at ACCESS Campus. With the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” the event focused on recognizing the vital contributions of women in shaping a brighter future for the country.
Spearheaded by Rashida A. Asis, Director for Gender and Development, the program gathered university officials, faculty members, and staff. In his speech, University President Samson L. Molao, EdD, reaffirmed SKSU’s strong commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of women in various fields. He also highlighted the university’s continuous efforts to promote inclusivity and provide equal opportunities for everyone.
Guest speaker Arnold B. Aumento, Information Officer III of the Commission on Human Rights, delivered an engaging discussion on the Magna Carta of Women. He outlined its key provisions, emphasizing the rights and protections granted to women in different sectors. His talk encouraged attendees to take an active role in promoting gender equality and fostering an inclusive society.
This kick-off event marked the start of a month-long celebration dedicated to honoring women’s achievements and advocating for their rights. SKSU remains committed to advancing gender equality through meaningful initiatives, ensuring that women in all sectors have opportunities to thrive in a progressive and inclusive Philippines.
