The Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) Laboratory High School emerged victorious in the Sultan Pax Leadership Academy (SPLA) Quiz Bee Competition, a highlight of the 52nd Founding Anniversary and 27th Kalimudan Festival celebrations. The event, held at the Cultural and Sports Complex on November 12, 2025 showcased the intellectual prowess of young minds from across the province.

The winning team, composed of Gielan Alleanna Pasquin, Khaydee Alexa Fuentes, and Stephen Euan Talua, demonstrated exceptional knowledge and teamwork to secure the top spot.

Coached by Prof. Rey S. Fuentebilla and Prof. April Mae Marcella, the students’ success is also attributed to the leadership and unwavering support of University President Dr. Samson L. Molao. The school is also thankful for the presence and support of Datu Pax Ali, the Governor of Sultan Kudarat Province, during the event.

This achievement aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), emphasizing the importance of inclusive and equitable education and collaborative efforts to achieve sustainable development.

The SPLA Youth Congress aimed to foster healthy competition, unity, and camaraderie among students from various educational institutions in Sultan Kudarat.

“This event is a platform to not only showcase the talents of our students but also to promote a spirit of unity and healthy competition,” said a representative from the Sultan Pax Leadership Academy. “It’s about exposing them to new experiences, highlighting their intellectual capacity, and building lasting friendships.”

The SKSU Laboratory High School team’s victory was met with cheers and applause, marking a proud moment for the institution and its supporters.
