SKSU Launches Strategic Internationalization Plan and IZN Manual Workshop

Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) officially commenced Day 1 of its three-day Strategic Internationalization Plan (SIP) and Internationalization (IZN) Manual Workshop on February 11, 2026, at Hotel Hexandrea, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat. The initiative gathers university officials, academic leaders, and key stakeholders in a collaborative effort to craft a comprehensive framework that will guide the institution’s internationalization initiatives in the coming years.

In her welcome remarks, Dr. Marites B. Java, Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasized the importance of strategic planning in aligning academic programs with global standards. Atty. Nolan E. Albano, Director for International Affairs, presented the rationale and objectives of the workshop, highlighting the need to institutionalize internationalization across instruction, research, extension, and partnerships to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.

Delivering the keynote message, University President Dr. Samson L. Molao strongly reaffirmed the administration’s full support for the university’s internationalization agenda. He underscored that internationalization is a strategic priority that will expand opportunities for students and faculty, strengthen global linkages, and elevate SKSU’s academic standing. The workshop proper followed, with the Strategic Internationalization Plan (SIP) Workshop led by Mr. Michael Kennedy G. Camarao, Director for Instruction, who facilitated collaborative discussions and planning sessions aimed at identifying strategic priorities and institutional directions.

The conduct of the workshop reflects SKSU’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. By strengthening global engagement and institutional partnerships, the university reinforces its dedication to delivering inclusive, high-quality education while fostering sustainable academic collaboration on an international scale.
