Headed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jesusa D. Ortuoste, and Chief Administrative Officer, Lani B. Alcon, QA team and some Key officials visited six (6) Higher Education Institutions and two (2) organizations that are leaders in the field of Quality Assurance and other key areas, for a benchmarking activity last October 17-21, 2022.
The team was split into two, one team visited the Metro HEIs and Organizations – Philippine Normal University, University of Makati, Toyota Philippines, Malayan Colleges of Laguna, National Archive of the Philippines and Lyceum University of the Philippines. The other team went to visit SUCs in the North of Luzon, Pampanga State Agricultural University, Pangasinan State University and Central Luzon State University.
The travel was undeniably long and tiring. But it was a fruitful, insight-filled and productive visit as the team learned many best practices, gathered comparative data and even forged future partnership and collaboration. The team had pleasant experiences with many university officials, and even presidents who took time to have dialogue with them. The team was able to immersed in the culture of other HEIs and Organizations and this was a breath of fresh air as they get a glimpse on the way other HEIs and Organizations work.
The gains they got from this visit will help the university craft its strategic development plan, improve some of our process and mechanism and forge linkages among others. They really did Manilag (observe) and Nagtuon (learn).
