SKSU Political Science Faculty Shares Insights on Governance and Leadership at SOX Peace Wemboree 3.0

Representing Sultan Kudarat State University – Tacurong Campus and with the leadership and support of University President Dr. Samson L. Molao, Mr. King Alizon M. Camral, MPA, of the Department of Political Science, served as a resource person at SOX Peace Wemboree 3.0, held October 15–17, 2025, at Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City.

Organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII in partnership with the Local Government Academy (LGA), the event formed part of the 34th Local Government Month celebration with the theme “Peaceful Communities are Resilient Communities.”

Mr. Camral led two learning sessions—“Dissecting LGU Issues: Understanding Local Realities” and “Framing the Message and Guiding the Movement: Leadership and Community Organizing”—highlighting the importance of governance, civic participation, and leadership in building peace and resilience. In recognition of his contribution, DILG Region XII presented him a Plaque of Appreciation for representing SKSU and promoting good governance and peacebuilding in the region.

This accomplishment underscores SKSU’s commitment to community empowerment and sustainable development, aligning with SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
