To strengthen the research culture among university students, the Sultan Kudarat State University Research Division (SKSU-R&D) spearheaded the annual university-wide Students’ Research Exposition on May 28, 2024, at the ACCESS Campus. The event included participants from all seven campuses, each represented by their respective campus-level winners.
The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Mary Lynn G. Magbanua, VP-RDE. This was followed by a message from Dr. Jesusa D. Ortouste, OIC President, and the presentation of participants, evaluators, and criteria by Dr. Rodelyn M. Dalayap, R&D Director.
The 2024 Research Expo Scientific Research Paper Competition was divided into three categories: Best Paper with eight participating research projects, Best Technology with five participating research projects, and Best Information Dissemination with seven participating research projects. The competitions were held at the Multipurpose Hall, 3rd floor Admin Building, Ang Magsasaka Training Center, and Coffee Cupping Laboratory Hall, TIP Center.
The closing program took place in the afternoon, beginning with participants’ impressions. The proclamation of winners followed, creating excitement among student researchers, advisers, and guests. Here are this year’s winners of the Students’ Research Expo:
Best Paper

Each category winner received a cash prize of PhP 5,000.00 from the R&D Fund and will be recognized during this academic year’s Commencement Exercises.
