Prof. King Alizon M. Camral, MPA, faculty member of the Department of Political Science, represented Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) President Dr. Samson L. Molao at the Multi-Sectoral Advisory Council (MSAC) Region XII 2nd Semester Meeting at Habi Hotel, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
Organized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII, the meeting gathered representatives from national agencies, local government units, and partner institutions to discuss key regional governance and development initiatives. Prof. Camral took part in discussions focused on strengthening coordination, improving community safety, and advancing transparent local governance.
The council reviewed proposals on expanding membership, enhancing preventive measures, strengthening project monitoring, and supporting civil society engagement. Members also received
updates on regional initiatives, award criteria for local performance, and community development programs aimed at strengthening services and partnerships at the grassroots level.
The event concluded with the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) among MSAC XII-member institutions, symbolizing their shared commitment to inclusive and sustainable regional development.
The meeting underscored a unified effort to promote good governance, transparency, and participatory engagement across Region XII through collaborative resolutions and actionable agreements. Through its active participation, SKSU reaffirmed its commitment to advancing peace, safety, transparency, and participatory governance in partnership with government agencies, the academe, and civil society that contributes directly to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
