SKSU Successfully Conducts Research and Extension Year-End In-House Review and Planning Workshop 2025

General Santos City – Sultan Kudarat State University proudly culminates another productive year in research and extension with the successful conduct of the Research and Extension Year-End In-House Review and Planning Workshop, held at Venue 88 Hotel and Place on November 22-23, 2025. The event was graced by the presence of University President Dr. Samson L. Molao, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation Dr. Badu M. Panimbang, Director for Research Gemma A. Constantino, MS, and Director for Extension Dr. Michael John D. Benavidez, whose guidance and support continue to inspire excellence in SKSU’s research and extension endeavors.

This milestone event gathered faculty researchers, extension implementers, project leaders and evaluators from all campuses to present, assess, and enhance research and extension programs. It served as a vital platform for presenting and reviewing completed and ongoing research projects and extension programs, ensuring that each initiative meets the highest standards of quality, relevance, and impact. Through constructive discussions, feedback, and evaluations, the participants collectively strengthened the design, implementation, and sustainability of SKSU’s research and extension undertakings.

In line with global development priorities, SKSU’s research and extension programs also contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduce Inequalities), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for Goals).

As SKSU closes the year with renewed vigor and purpose, the University reaffirms its dedication to fostering research and extension programs that not only advance knowledge but also uplift communities, promote sustainable development, and strengthen the University’s role as a center of learning, innovation, and service in the region.
