The Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) concluded its mid-year wellness activity, “Smash Stress, Swing into Wellness,” with a Pickleball tournament on August 27, 2025, at the Main Campus – ACCESS.

The program, which began on July 7, 2025, engaged SKSU personnel in regular Pickleball sessions every Tuesday and Thursday. Over the course of nearly two months, the initiative aimed to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and camaraderie among university employees.

The initiative formed part of SKSU’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Wellness Program, implemented through the collaboration of the Health Services Division led by Dir. Grace R. Pedrola, RN, the CTE Sports Office under Prof. Alvin Magbanua, the Human Resource Management Office headed by Dir. Judith V. Asturias, MPA, JD, and the College of Health Sciences as the medical support team.

The activity strongly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by fostering a healthier workforce, improving workplace morale, and promoting balanced, productive lifestyles among university personnel.
