SKSU President Torreña Joins Provincial Capitol Flag-Raising, Underscores Stronger Partnership

Isulan, Sultan Kudarat — Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) President Atty. Cyrus E. Torrena, DPA, MNSA, joined the flag-raising ceremony at the Provincial Capitol in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, where he underscored the importance of strengthening the partnership between the university and the Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat.

During his message, Atty. Torrena expressed his gratitude to Provincial Governor Hon. Datu Pax Ali S. Mangudadatu for the Provincial Government’s full support to his administration and to SKSU, particularly in pursuing the university’s future plans, innovations, and development initiatives.Among the initiatives highlighted was the university’s plan to establish additional campuses, including the proposed SKSU Columbio Campus, as well as possible expansion initiatives in Lambayong and Esperanza.

Atty. Torrena emphasized that SKSU and the Provincial Government should remain established partners in advancing education and development in the province.“We should be partners. The university and the province must work together because this partnership is an investment in the future of Sultan Kudarat,” Torrena said. He likewise assured students, faculty members, and the community of his commitment to listen, work, and act on their needs and aspirations.

Following the ceremony, Atty. Torrena paid a courtesy visit to OIC Provincial Administrator Jimmy Andang, further strengthening coordination and institutional ties between SKSU and the Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat.

The engagement reflects the university’s continuing commitment to building strategic partnerships that support educational advancement, innovation, and development across the province.
