Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) strengthened its Gender and Development (GAD) mechanisms through a two-day GFPS Orientation-Workshop on GMEF, HGDG, and GPB held on September 30–October 1, 2026, at the 3rd Floor, Multi-Purpose Hall, Administration Building, SKSU-ACCESS Campus, Tacurong City.
With the full support of University President Atty. Cyrus E. Torrena, DPA, MNSA, the activity was led by Rashida A. Asis, MA, GAD Director, with Prof. Susie D. Daza, member of the Regional GAD Resource Pool, serving as resource person. The sessions covered basic GAD concepts and policy imperatives, gender mainstreaming, gender analysis and tools, Enhanced GMEF, and the Harmonized GAD Guidelines (HGDG).
The participants also took part in workshops on identifying gender issues, assessing GAD programs and activities, processing GMEF results, and developing the SKSU-GAD Plan and Budget for 2027. The activity aimed to enhance the capacity of the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating gender-responsive programs across the university.
