Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) convened its 3rd Regular Meeting of the Board of Regents (BOR) on October 28, 2026, at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City, highlighted by the oath-taking of its new Alumni Regent and Private Sector Representatives.
Dr. Romulo P. Paclibar Jr., president of the SKSU Alumni Association and a recipient of the 2024 SKSU Outstanding Alumni in Public Governance Award, took his oath as Alumni Regent. Meanwhile, Atty. Emelly Herezo-Delos Santos and Gloria Fajardo, CPA, took their oaths as Private Sector Representatives to the BOR.
The oath-taking was witnessed by SKSU President Atty. Cyrus E. Torrena, DPA, MNSA, and administered by CHED Commissioner Myrna L. Mallari, CPA, who also presided over the board meeting. Liza Lacson Barrientos, SKSU Regent and Tingog Party List Regional Coordinator, attended as the official representative of Rep. Jude A. Acidre, chairperson of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education.
The appointment of the new regents strengthens alumni participation and private sector representation in university governance, supporting SKSU’s commitment to inclusive leadership, institutional accountability, and continued academic development.
