It was two years ago Sultan Kudarat State University successfully hurdles the ISO 9001:15 Certification in all areas namely; Tertiary Education, Instruction, Research, Extension and Resource Generation including Advance Education, Secondary Education (Laborartory High School), Support to Operations and General administrative Services with the certify body Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, Inspection and Certification. This year Bureau Veritas conducted its first Surveillance audit, this is to evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the Management system, check compliance if maintained, and assess performance against key performance objectives and targets.
Despite of the Pandemic, SKSU never stops on its quest for excellence and quality service hence, the four days surveillance audit sets off and used a new flat form using ICT tool Zoom . It started on August 18,19,20 and 24 , 2020. With the new setup of Audit , SKSU adjusted to fit in , it is quite challenging. This surveillance audit focused on its objectives to verify organization’s fulfillment of all requirements of the management system standard, verify effectiveness of the whole management system considering internal and external changes and management systems’ continual relevance and applicability to the scope of certification, verify organization’s commitment to maintain the effectiveness and improvement system to enhance overall performance and verify whether the operation of the management system contributes to the achievement of the organization’s policy and objectives.
The auditing team was composed by Mr. Luisito D. Soriano as the team leader and Mr. Marvin Bernardino, member .The audit scope is Tertiary Education, Instruction, Research, Extension and Resource Generation including Advance Education, Secondary Education (Laborartory High School), Support to Operations and General administrative Services. They evaluated Sultan Kudarat State University Bagumbayan Campus, Kalamansig, Palimbang and ACESS EJC Montilla, Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat. It is indeed challenging but SKSU is ready based on its vision as trailblazer. When it sets off for ISO certification SKSU anticipates this as long term project of the University which requires ongoing work to give the best service spelled out on its core values FATES. The SKSU ISO team was headed by the active and innovative Director of Quality Assurance, Dir.Lani B. Alcon and Supported by the dynamic President, Dr. Rolando F. Hechanova Guided by the energetic and awe inspiring consultant Engr. Grace Daria.
