As SKSU celebrates its 11th anniversary as the university, SKSU unveils its quest toward the Philippine Quality Award Project. It was formally launched last January 18, 2021, at Multi-Purpose Hall, ACCESS campus Tacurong City.
The endeavor started with the help of The Department of Trade and Industry through its business Competitiveness Section, which has a project PQA TORE, (Toolkit for Organizational Resiliency and Excellence) that helps improve performance to become excellent and sustainable. DTI gave SKSU free Training and a Consultant to assist the agency in the PQA quest as they chose SKSU as a nominee for the said award.
To formally start its quest a fabulous launching was conducted with symbolic activities like the unveiling of the PQA commitment board, lighting of candles as the entire university pledges its commitment to work towards its success.
Philippine Quality Award refers to the Philippine Quality Award, the highest national recognition for an exemplary organizational performance of private and public organizations in the country. It is an integrated quality management tool for organizational excellence based on the US Baldrige Performance Excellence. PQA has conferred annually to qualified organizations in the private and public sectors.
