ACDI/VOCA holds Gender Sensitivity Training for SKSU

The Research Development and Extension Division in collaboration with ACDI/VOCA and PhilCafe hold a whole day Gender Sensitivity Training to the twenty (20) Key University Staff on April 20, 2021, at 3rd Floor, Multi-Purpose Hall, Administration Building, SKSU ACCESS Campus, EJC Montilla, Tacurong City. The training centers on the basic concepts of gender and sex, understanding of gender roles, norms, and stereotypes. It also discussed issues of how gender roles affect the individual. The highlight is the presentation of intervention strategies on how to mainstream gender in the university.

It was an activity facilitated by Ms. Donnabelle Celebrado, a Gender Equity, and Social Inclusion Specialist. The activities were actively participated that shows the dynamic culture of the university. On the other hand, Philippine Coffee Advancement and Farm Enterprise (PhilCAFE) builds on the success of the Mindanao Productivity in Agricultural Commerce and Trade (MinPACT) project and capitalizes on ACDI/VOCA’s extensive network and reputation from working in tree crops and other sectors in the Philippines for over 25 years. PhilCAFE is an investment in the coffee sector that leverages private and public capital to put the National Coffee Roadmap into action. The project empowers legacy institutions such as the Philippines Coffee Council, state universities and colleges (SUCs), private universities, and industry actors to support the sustained development of the coffee sector.
