EJC Montilla, TACURONG CITY. Three contractors namely, 4MB Construction and Supply Corporation, CS Construction, and Blimex Construction and Supply turnover three constructions to Sultan Kudarat State University on August 6, 2021, at SKSU ACESS Campus, EJC, Montilla, Tacurong City.
The Three Buildings are the Men’s Dormitory constructed by CS Construction with the contract price of PHP13,365,081.64, Ladies Dormitory, constructed by Blimex Construction and Supply with a contract price of PHP14,368,012.53 and the Mini Grand Stand constructed by 4MB Construction and Supply Corporation with the contract price of PHP5,633,314.13.
Before the formal turnover, ribbon cutting and unveiling of markers were made by the university president and other university key officials with the special participation of Mr. Rogelio Garcia, Administrative officer of Tacurong City, who represented Mayor Lino O. Montilla, Tacurong City mayor.
As a form of thanks giving and dedication of the new blessings, Rev. Fr. Diosdado A. Esguerra, DCC, San Pedro Calungsod Parish Priest, bless the new buildings. Formal Turnover Ceremony then followed at Multi-Purpose Hall, SKSU ACESS Campus, EJC, Montilla, Tacurong City.
The construction of these three buildings was planned, prepared, supervised, and monitored by the Infrastructure Division headed by the Chief for Infrastructure Engr. Rodolfo S. Solomon, and the Planning Division headed by Dr. Dennis Meriales, the Planning Director.
The president gave his commendation to the young and versatile engineers and draftsmen, who are also a product of the university. They are Engr. Rommel Jay G. Tabanao, CE, Engr. Jay Anthony B. Murillo, CE , and Engr. Ma. Theresa G. Cadiz, CE. He said, the university practiced of using its graduates to build projects, was also recommended to other State Universities and Colleges, which was affirmed to be outstanding practice also by Mr. Garcia, the mayor’s representative. Furthermore, the president urged everyone to maintain and sustain the buildings as the university also focused on the procurement of other facilities and laboratory equipment in preparation for the coming of students, when the pandemic ends.
