ExeCom holds a Meeting at Kalamansig Campus

The Sultan Kudarat State University Executive Committee Meeting was conducted at Kalamansig Campus on February 10, 2023. The EXECOM meeting has 19 agendas for administration and Academics and 10 other matters.

Eighteen (18) members attended out of Twenty-Five (25)regular committee members. The meeting was presided by the President, Dr. Samson L. Molao. In attendance were Dr. Jesusa D. Ortuoste, Vice President for Academics,Dr. Reynaldo H. Dalayap Jr., Vice-President for Finance and Administration, Dr. Julie E. Albano, Vice President for Research Development and Extension, Dr. Dolorcita E. Pauya, the Special Assistant to the President. Campus Directors, Prof. Victorino M. Laviste, CD Kalamansig , Dr.Ernie C. Cerado,CD ACCESS, Dr. Romualdo M. Ortuoste, CD Lutayan, Dr. Paul Ryan L. Oñas, CD Bagumbayan, Dr. Allan Jay S. Cajandig, CD Palimbang, Prof. Paul Ian M. Bugador, representing the CD of Tacurong, Engr. Rommel Lagumen ,representing CD of Isulan, and from Division directors: Dr. Rodelyn M. Dayalap ,Dr. Siony S. Brunio, Atty. Sandra Mae B. Bonrustro, Dr. Elmer C. Buenavides, Dr. Marites B. Java, Engr. Eulogio Apellido Jr., Faculty Association President, and Mrs. Rosalie Ibot , NTEA President and the University Student Government (USG) President Hon. April Jay Paredes.

In the Academic Agenda, Deans and Program Chairman presented their Proposed Master Degree Courses of MSN, and MBA, they were: Iril Panes Ph.D., and Prof. Paul Ian M. Bugador. Updates on the Proposed Offerings and Updates on the Revision of Faculty, Student, and RD&E Manuals and Granting of Honoris Causa to Senator Imee Marcos and VP Sara Duterte-Carpio were also discussed.

The ExeCom is composed of the President as Chairman, the Vice Presidents, Campus Directors, the Division Directors of the four-fold mandated functions, the Director for Planning and Development, the Director for Quality Assurance, the GAD Center Director, the Director for Finance Management Service, the College Deans of Extension Campuses, the Legal Officer, the Faculty Association President, the Non-teaching Association President, and the University Student Government (USG) President.

The Executive Committee meets as frequently as the President decides to discuss issues and concerns of the University. ExeCom assists the President with policy formulation; conducts an initial evaluation of proposals involving academic, administrative, research development, and extension matters; acts on matters that need no approval/confirmation of the Board; and reviews plans and programs of the University.

Moreover, the executive meeting in Kalamansig is the start of conducting ExeCom meetings in different campuses of SKSU for the key officials to visit onsite the campuses and students of SKSU. Before the Session began, Hon. Leslie Caberti, the mayor’s representative and chairman of the Education Committee of the Local Government Unit of Kalamansig, gave her privilege speech to the committee. She said that LGU Kalamansig penned its commitment to SKSU and gave its 100% support in all endeavors of the University, especially its request of offering BS Engineering on the campus. The meeting was facilitated by the Board Secretary, Ms. Lynette G. Peniero and the key officials were Accommodated by Kalamansig Campus Director Prof. Victorino M. Laviste and Faculty.
