Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) recently wrapped up the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) Evaluation for its Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) programs on July 22, 2024, at the Halal Goat Science & Innovation Center (HGSIC) in SKSU Lutayan Campus, Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat. The event began at 8:00 AM and featured a comprehensive assessment process.
The evaluation opened with introduction of the Campus COPC Committee and the Commission on Higher Education Regional Quality Assessment Team (CHED-RQAT) members. Evaluators for the BSA and BEED programs included Dr. Anita Sornito (USM BEED RQAT), Dr. Anabel Dafielmoto (Supervisor in Charge), Dr. Samsaya Ibrahim (RQAT BSA), Dr. Joyce Israel (RQAT BSA), and Zohrahaydah N. Panawidan, PhD (OIC-Chief Education Program Specialist)
The day featured a motivational message from CHED delivered by Dr. Zohrahaydah N. Panawidan, followed by a comprehensive evaluation process. The event culminated in an exit conference where preliminary findings and recommendations were presented. An open forum allowed for discussion and clarification of the evaluation results.
In the afternoon, the evaluators conducted an ocular visit of the Lutayan Campus, touring its laboratories, equipment, establishments, and farm. This visit allowed the evaluators to assess the facilities and resources available to the programs.
While the final result of the COPC Evaluation is still pending, SKSU remains optimistic about a positive outcome. The successful coordination of the event was made possible by the diligent efforts of the COPC task force members, including Dr. Badu Panimbang, Dean of the College of Agriculture/Campus Director, Dr. Roselyn Calixtro, BEED Chairperson, Juareyn O.
