General Santos City – Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) College of Teacher Education (CTE) conducted a benchmarking activity on October 22, 2026 at Mindanao State University–General Santos City (MSU-GSC), College of Education (CED), to gain insights into institutional practices, review program structures, and explore strategies for strengthening performance in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).
The SKSU delegation was headed by Dr. Christine P. Abo, Director of ACCESS Campus, and Dr. Anesa P. Mangindra, Dean of the College of Teacher Education, together with the program chairpersons of the different programs under the college. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Diane Mae P. Ulanday-Lozano, EdD, Dean of the MSU-GSC College of Education, alongside the college’s program chairpersons.
The activity focused on two key areas: MSU-Gensan CED’s LEPT Performance Trends and Institutional Framework and the CED Review Program Structure. Through discussions and the exchange of best practices, the activity provided an opportunity for SKSU-CTE to gain valuable insights into approaches that may help enhance teacher education programs and strengthen licensure examination preparation.
This benchmarking initiative underscores SKSU’s continuing commitment to academic excellence, quality teacher education, and continuous institutional improvement. By fostering collaboration and learning from the experiences of fellow higher education institutions, SKSU-CTE seeks to further strengthen its academic programs.
