Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) recently held a “General Orientation and Workshop for World University Rankings for Innovation and Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.” The two-day online event, which took place on October 29-30, 2024, aimed to equip SKSU faculty, administrators, and staff with the tools and insights needed to participate in global university rankings.
As part of its goal to elevate its global presence, SKSU is aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting innovation-driven solutions. The workshop highlighted the importance of the THE Impact Rankings, which assess universities on societal contributions, and the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), focusing on institutional innovation and societal impact.
The Quality Assurance Office at SKSU collaborated with several leading higher education institutions across the Philippines for this initiative. Key speakers included Atty. Lily Freida C. Macabangun-Milla from the Commission on Higher Education, Dr. Engelbert C. Pasag of Panpacific University, Dr. Mee Jay A. Domingo from Mariano Marcos State University, and Mr. Jerome L.
