In celebration of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)’s 30th Anniversary and 4th National Higher Education Day, the Sultan Kudarat State University has been recognized as a regional awardee and national finalist during the 2024 Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) for Higher Education Innovative Awards held at the CHED Auditorium, UP Diliman, Quezon City on May 17, 2024.
Dr. Jesusa D. Ortuoste, OIC President of SKSU, along with Dir. Grace R. Pedrola, RN, Chief of the University Health Services and Ancillary Services, received the award. They were joined by Dr. Nelia A. Alibin, CHEDRO-XII Director, in this significant achievement.
SKSU’s recognition comes in response to its active participation in the PADS Innovative Award Contest. The university showcased its commitment to Executive Order No. 66, s. 2018, also known as the “Institutionalizing of Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS)”.
In addition to SKSU, other CHEDRO-XII regional awardees include Notre Dame of Dadiangas University, the University of Southern Mindanao, and South Cotabato State College. These institutions have also demonstrated commendable efforts in support of the national anti-illegal drugs strategy.
