SKSU, one of the recipients of the 3.4 Million Grant to be supported under the Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund’s Research for Development Component

The Sultan Kudarat State University, headed by Dr. Samson L. Molao, is one of the recipients of the 3.4 Million Grant to be supported under the Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund’s Research for Development Component with the project titled “Scaling up Bungulan Bananas and Taro-based Enterprise in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato” led by by Asst. Prof Cyril John A. Domingo with his team of faculty researchers from Isulan, Tacurong, and ACCESS Campuses.

The Department of Agriculture, represented by Senior Undersecretary Domingo F. Panganiban and SKSU President Samson L. Molao inked the memorandum of agreement (MOA) on 14 November 2023 in Diliman, Quezon City. The event was graced by DA Undersecretary for Administration and ACEF Program Management Committee (ACEF PMC) Vice-Chairperson Jane C. Bacayo, Bureau of Agricultural Research Director Junel B. Soriano, DA-Agricultural Credit Policy Council Deputy Executive Director, ACEF-PMC member Maria Cristina Lopez, project leaders, ACEF-PMC representatives, and DA-BAR officials and staff.

The partner and beneficiary of the approved project is the Lake Sebu Indigenous Women and Farmers Association (LASIWFA). DA-BAR serves as the lead agency tasked to coordinate and manage the ACEF R4D component.
