KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO — The Sultan Kudarat State University represented by University President Atty. Cyrus E. Torrena, DPA, MNSA, and SKSU MPC Chairman Rolando F. Hechanova, received a Plaque of Recognition under the Cooperative Partner Academe category during the Recognition of Cooperatives and Partners 2026 on October 26, 2026, at Acacia Hall, Cinco Ninas, Koronadal City.
Organized by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region XII Extension Office, the recognition honored SKSU for its partnership with the agency in hosting and conducting the Training of Trainers for the Cooperative Training Providers Pool of Trainers. The initiative supports the development of qualified cooperative trainers and strengthens the capacity of cooperatives across the region.
The recognition highlights the collaborative efforts of SKSU and CDA Region XII in advancing cooperative education, strengthening institutional capabilities, and promoting effective cooperative governance. It also reaffirms their shared commitment to sustainable community development and capacity-building across SOCCSKSARGEN, in support of Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
