SKSU Resbakuna Accomplishment Report

The Sultan Kudarat State University supports the program of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in expanding the limited face to face classes to other degree programs that require hands-on experience in higher education in areas under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ). Similarly, the University intensifies its support and commitment to the National Vaccine Deployment Plan through Sultan Kudarat Provincial Health Office and City Health Office of Tacurong to increase the number of vaccinated population which includes the students and other stakeholders.

The Ceremonial Kick Off activity was held on November 23, 2021, at 8:30am, at Ang Magsasaka Training Center, SKSU ACCESS EJC Montilla Tacurong City. The activity was led by the Health Services Division/ University Health Response Team, College of Health Sciences and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, graced with the presence of the ever-dynamic University President – Rolando F. Hechanova, RPAE, PhD., and University’s key officials, with Sultan Kudarat Provincial Health Office headed by Dr. Gina C. Galinato and the City Health Office of Tacurong City.

The SKSU-PHO Resbakuna Hub operated from November 23 to 26, 2021 which was opened to the public and prioritized the SKSU students catering to a total of 1,106 vaccinees, forty percent (40%) of which constitutes the total number of vaccinated students and personnel.

Furthermore, the activity also provides a venue for related learning experience (RLE) of the University’s Health Allied Students. The Philippine Red Cross Sultan Kudarat Chapter also volunteered their services during the Resbakuna program in the University.
