After the success in the Philippines Quality Award, Sultan Kudarat State University continuous to unfold another milestone in its quest for excellence, the University undergoes Institutional Accreditation with Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on July 24-26, 2022 at the Administration Center Central Site and Services (ACCESS) campus. ACCESS campus was the chosen campus for evaluation since it is SKSU’s central Seat of Administration.
Headed by the persistent and hardworking president Dr. Rolando F. Hechanova, with Dir, Lani B. Alcon, the QMS Director, and Engr. Eulogio Apellido Jr., the Accreditation Chairman spearheaded the SKSU IA accreditation 2022. SKSU undertakes three days of evaluations in nine different areas.
The team of accreditors is headed by Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari team leader and Lead Accreditor together with Dr. Cecilio L. Manarpaac, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, Dr. Noralyn M. Natura, Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin, Dr. Milabel E. Ho and the AACCUP IA Management Staff Mr. Dominic T. Martinez, evaluated the nine areas namely: governance and management (Area I); teaching, learning, and evaluation (Area II); faculty and staff (Area III); research (Area IV); extension, consultancy, and linkages (Area V); support to students (Area VI); library (Area VII); infrastructure and other learning resources (Area VIII); and quality assurance culture (Area IX).
The SKSU Institutional Accreditation is a blended evaluation, where the evaluation of documents was simultaneously conducted On-site and Online, some accreditors made their evaluation and scrutiny of documents through the uploaded files and other accreditors also conducted it On-site evaluation. Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, Lead Accreditor in Research, Extension, Consultancy, and Linkages conducted an onsite visitation to the beneficiaries of research and extension. On the other hand, Area Chairmen and members of other Areas situated in The 3rd Floor Multi-Purpose Hall of the Administration Building are steadfast in answering and presenting documents to the evaluators. They are in high Spirit to hurdle this another challenging work.
This endeavor is a manifestation of SKSU’s unwavering desire to achieve greater heights to achieve its vision to be a trailblazer in arts, sciences, and technology in the region.
