In his message, Atty. Torrena emphasized that leading the University is a collective responsibility that requires the support, commitment, and cooperation of the entire SKSU community and its stakeholders. He stated that “My dear SKSU Family, I cannot lead this university alone, and I do not intend to. I need our Faculty, I need our Non-teaching personnel, I need our Students, I need our Campus Leaders, Alumni, Retirees, Communities, LGUs, and stakeholders, and above all, the Heavenly Father, I need all of you.” Atty Torrena further underscored his commitment to lead by example, emphasizing accountability, hard work, active listening, and integrity as core principles of his administration. “If I ask you to be accountable, I must be accountable. If I ask you to work hard, I must work hard or even harder. If I ask you to listen, I must be willing to listen. And if I ask you to serve with integrity, then integrity must begin with the Office of the President of SKSU.”
