Sultan Kudarat State University Enhances Income Generation Projects Through Benchmarking Initiative

The Sultan Kudarat State University Resource Generation Division embarked on a strategic benchmarking mission from April 30 to May 3, 2024, aimed at bolstering income-generating projects within the University. Spearheaded by Dr. Adonis S. Besa, the director of the University Resource Generation Division, the delegation visited various State Universities and Colleges across the country to glean insights and best practices.

Accompanying Dr. Besa were key personnel including Prof. Cyril John A. Domingo, the Director of the Food Processing Center, Dr. Charmie A. Lagdamen, the UBMC Chair on Monitoring and Evaluation, Al John Escobanez, MBA, the UBMC Chair on Marketing and Promotion, and Ian S. Pastoleo, the Resource Generation staff. Together, they undertook a comprehensive review of income-generating projects, with a focus on refining strategies outlined in the IGP Manual Operation.

The primary objective of these benchmarking visits was to harness innovative approaches and refine existing projects to maximize revenue generation. By collaborating with esteemed institutions like Central Luzon State University, Benguet State University, and Pangasinan State University – Bayambang and Lingayen Campuses, Sultan Kudarat State University aims to strengthen its position in income generation, a pivotal aspect of its mandate as a State University and College.

The enthusiastic response and unwavering support received from partner institutions underscore the spirit of collaboration and knowledge sharing that drives the higher education sector forward. Through this exchange of ideas and practices, Sultan Kudarat State University is poised to broaden its production horizons, aligning with its commitment to fulfilling the multifaceted responsibilities of State Universities and Colleges.
