Tacurong City – Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) conducted a two-day University-wide Mock Audit on March 5–6, 2026 as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen its Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure readiness for the upcoming ISO 9001:2015 Certification Audit. The activity formally commenced with an Opening Meeting held on March 5 at 8:00 AM at the University Board Room. The meeting gathered university key officials, unit heads, and quality assurance representatives who demonstrated their commitment to ensuring that the institution’s processes, services, and operations align with international standards for quality management.
Serving as external auditors for the mock audit were Mr. Juvie B. Dela Cruz, PhD and Ms. Khen O. David, MBA, who led the comprehensive evaluation of the university’s systems and processes. During the two-day activity, the auditors conducted detailed reviews of documented procedures, operational workflows, and compliance practices across various offices and units within the university. The mock audit serves as a critical preparatory step before the official certification audit. Through this process, the university is able to identify strengths, best practices, and potential areas for improvement within its quality management system. The recommendations provided by the external auditors will help guide SKSU in refining its procedures, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring consistent delivery of quality services to students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.
University President Dr. Samson L. Molao expressed his full support for the conduct of the mock audit, emphasizing the importance of quality assurance initiatives in strengthening the university’s institutional systems and service delivery. He also encouraged the entire SKSU community to actively participate in the process and remain committed to sustaining quality standards across all university operations.
The activity also reflects the university’s commitment to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), by ensuring that institutional systems and processes promote excellence and efficiency in the delivery of higher education services and highlights the importance of building effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels.
