SKSU Celebrates Success at the Oath-Taking Ceremony of New Criminologists and PCAP Induction in Region 12

The College of Criminal Justice Education of Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) marked a significant milestone during the prestigious oath-taking ceremony for new criminologists and the induction of new members of the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) on April 6, 2024, held at the KCC Convention and Events Center in General Santos City.

In the first category, “Top Performing Schools in Region XII,” SKSU ranked 2nd, showcasing its commitment to maintaining high academic standards and preparing students for the professional world. In the second category, “Schools in Region XII with Above National Passing Percentage,” SKSU was acknowledged for surpassing national educational benchmarks. This recognition highlights SKSU’s contribution towards excellence in the field of criminology and sets a new standard of achievement in the region. These awards are testaments of SKSU’s exceptional performance and dedication to advancing education in the region.
The event was attended by the SKSU personnel who represented the university’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development. Among them was Prof. Edwin F. Cortejo, the Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education and Vice President Internal of the PCAP Tacurong Chapter, whose leadership and vision have propelled the college to new heights. Prof. Rogelio C. Palanog Jr, the Chairperson of the BS Criminology Program, whose expertise and dedication have significantly contributed to the success and reputation of the program. Lastly, Dr. Aiza P. Sumalapao, the Chairperson of the BSISM Program and Secretary of PCAP Region 12, whose contributions have enriched the academic landscape and played a pivotal role in advancing the criminology profession in the region.
