SKSU Faculty and Graduate School Students Shine at 2nd IOER International Pinnacle Awards and ICBSTEME Conference

The International Organization of Educators and Researchers Inc. (IOER) organized the 2nd IOER International Pinnacle Awards and 2nd International Conference on Business and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Education (ICBSTEME) on March 30-31, 2024 at Verdant Hill Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The awarding ceremony honored exceptional individuals who have significantly contributed to education worldwide. Dr. Abraham S. Accad, a faculty member from SKSU, was awarded as Most Exemplary Civil Technology Expert and Researcher, for his groundbreaking work in using technology to enhance education. As a pioneer in this field, his innovations have revolutionized classrooms and made learning more accessible and equitable for students everywhere.

Also, Ms. Rebecca A. Eviota, a public-school principal and a graduate student, was awarded as Most Exemplary School Principal and Outstanding Educator in Indigenous People Education. As an exceptional educator in inclusive education, her visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to IP students’ achievement have earned her the highest accolades. “As a member of the Menubu Mandaya indigenous cultural community and IP educator, I must not remain an observer; instead, I must step up to be a catalyst for change. I am grateful to Sultan Kudarat State University for allowing me to step up in international platform and become a contributor in advancing IP Education in our community.” This is Ms. Eviota’s statement during a short interview.

Meanwhile, Ms. Teresa Hallegado’s and Dr. Alicia Manondog have earned significant acclaim as Best Abstract Paper in Education and Teaching during the 2nd ICBSTEME. Their study was entitled “Implementation of New Normal Learning Modalities and Academic Performance of Gen Z learners Across Senior High Schools in South Cotabato.”

Their pioneering paper in education has received recognition for its exceptional quality and innovative ideas. Their work holds promise for revolutionizing the field, providing educators with invaluable knowledge and solutions to tackle contemporary educational challenges.

With his latest recognition, Dr. Accad expressed his thoughts, stating, “I’m deeply honored to receive this award, which reflects the hard work of my team in the College of Industrial Technology and the entire SKSU. To those inspired by this, I encourage you to push yourself to the limit and face new challenges ahead; these challenges will soon become your achievements. Just stay curious and persistent and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. Remember, collaboration and shared passion can lead to great advancements in any field.” This insightful and meaningful statement reflects the positive views and encouragement one of the awardees shared.

The IOER International Pinnacle Awards recognized not just exceptional individuals but also the collaborative power of educators and researchers around the globe. By honoring those who have devoted their careers to improving education, the ceremony emphasized teamwork, groundbreaking thinking, and constant learning in shaping the future of education.
