Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU), under the leadership of University President Atty. Cyrus E. Torrena, DPA, MNSA, was recognized as one of the Special Awardees of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Regional Office XII for CY 2026, in recognition of its unwavering support and contribution to the Jail Bureau.
The award was formally conferred during the 35th BJMP Anniversary Celebration on September 21, 2026, at The Farm at Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City. Maricel L. Amit, DIT, Project Leader, represented the University during the awarding ceremony.
The recognition highlights SKSU ACCESS’ continuing partnership with BJMP Region XII in support of public service and community development, contributing to Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting strong, accountable, and inclusive institutions.
