PALIMBANG, Sultan Kudarat — Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU)-Palimbang Campus held its Flag Raising Ceremony cum Induction Ceremony on September 21, 2026, bringing together faculty, staff, students, and student leaders in an activity highlighting leadership, service, and commitment to the University community.
A major highlight of the program was the oath-taking and induction of the newly elected and appointed student leaders, formally recognizing their responsibilities in representing their fellow students and contributing to a responsive and inclusive campus community.
SKSU President Atty. Cyrus E. Torrena, DPA, MNSA graced the ceremony and delivered a message to the newly inducted student leaders and the SKSU-Palimbang community, emphasizing the importance of student participation and leadership in advancing the University’s programs and initiatives.
Representing the Municipal Vice Mayor of Palimbang, Hon. Joenime Badrudin Kapina, were Executive Secretary Abdulsatar Badrudin and Paralegal Consultant Mabaning Samama, who conveyed the local government’s support for the University’s student leadership initiatives and its continuing partnership with SKSU-Palimbang.
Campus Director Kendatu L. Tago, MAT, also encouraged the newly inducted leaders to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, integrity, and a genuine spirit of service. A socio-cultural dance presentation further highlighted the talents and cultural expressions of the campus community.
Following the ceremony, SKSU-Palimbang conducted a Medical and Dental Mission from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., offering OPD registration and triaging, medical consultation, dental extraction, minor surgery including excision and circumcision, pharmacy services, reading glasses distribution, and other medical services. The activity concluded with a message from the Medical/Dental Team and closing remarks.
The activities underscored SKSU-Palimbang’s commitment to student leadership, quality education, inclusive participation, and community well-being, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), 4 (Quality Education), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) through accessible health services, meaningful student engagement, inclusive participation, and responsible leadership.
