Sultan Kudarat State University recently conducted the Training-Workshop on Artificial Intelligence Virtual Laboratory Simulations on April 6–7, 2026 at the Graduate School Conference Hall under the SKSU i-TEACH Program of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The activity was organized through the leadership and collaborative efforts of Dr. Marites B. Java, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Michael Kennedy G. Camarao, Director for Instruction; Prof. Rizalyn G. Cudera, College of Teacher Education Research Coordinator; and the Third Year BSED Science Student Researchers led by Mr. Alexies T. Canillo. Bringing together Science Professors and Instructors, the training-workshop served as a timely academic initiative aimed at strengthening faculty capability in developing innovative and technology-driven instructional materials for science education.

The training-workshop specifically focused on capacitating participants with the skills to create virtual laboratory simulations in Earth Science, Life Science, Chemistry, and Physics using codes generated from various Artificial Intelligence applications. Through hands-on sessions and guided workshop activities, participants explored practical ways of transforming complex science concepts into interactive and accessible digital learning experiences. This initiative reflects SKSU’s continuing commitment to quality and future-ready education while supporting the attainment of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) through improved teaching and learning, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through the integration of innovative digital tools, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaborative engagement among academic leaders, faculty members, and student researchers.
